Our day started out at a hockey game...CZE vs RUS
There were a lot of NHL stars in this game. It was action-packed and very fast. There were few whistles so the game went by quickly. Ovechkin was great and his size is impressive. The other Russians were very dominant, but Czech was speedy as well. Jagr was doing his best to set up plays and the defense moved the puck really well.

The Russian and Czech fans are very passionate and were cheering and chanting the whole time.

Celebration for the Russians at the end of the game.

Kovalchuk was amazing to see in person.

Czech celebration after one of their goals.

After the game we met up with Michelle's cousin Blain and went for a stroll through Chinatown, the famous "Lower Eastside" where some of the most destitute of homeless people are. There is a tent city there. Quite a contrast to the glitz of the games just a few blocks away.

Another family shot at the flame.
This is a bunch of statues by English Bay that were sponsored by the Chinese community.

Sunset at Englsh Bay. We went out for supper at a restaurant here and enjoyed the sunset over English Bay. It was a beautiful spot and we enjoyed some seafood. After supper it was back to the hostel for bed.
