After the longest day of our lives we were up early (still on Eastern time) and ready to go. It poured rain in the night but was clearing up enough to go for a walk to the grocery store to get breakfast, and some other meals. The kitchen downstairs is just like a University dorm and brings back memories. There is a big fridge room and everyone is respectful.
We got on the road after lunch and went to Granville Island.

The nice 2010 volunteers are out in blue jackets everywhere. The lady that took our picture grew up in Toronto, went to Trent and now lives in BC. We gave her an Ontario pin...(thanks Sheryl!)

Granville Island is a neat market with vendors and the Atlantic House was there. We didn't stand in line to go inside because we were eager to go on the Bombardier street car which runs between the Athlete's Village and Granville Island.

This is the state of the art train...very clean and quiet

This is the Athlete's Village from a distance. We didn't get very close...it is secured so we would not be able to get in. Athletes only!

Then it was off to see the sights and go to the Victory Ceremony!
GO CANADA GO!!!

and a concert with the Barenaked Ladies!!
And then back to the hostel for BED!!!
